FORMAT: three 3-hour sessions

Fashion Kamp is desgined for teen sewists (aged 11 and above) with an interest in fashion. The students will construct a simple top, pants or skirt while practicing basic sewing skills and learning to follow simple instructions. Students in this class will focus on adding creative elements to a basic pattern to create something uniquely their own. Students will select pattern with approval of instructor. Class fee includes all fabric needed to complete the project.
Students must bring a sewing machine in good working order, sewing box with all necessary sewing supplies, fabric and thread. New sewists are welcome but students should be able to confidently work with a sewing machine: wind a bobbin, thread the machine and maintain a consistent seam allowance. Students who need more practice to achieve this level of sewing must arrange for an individual lesson before Kamp begins.
